WANTED - PROJECT TEAM LEADER / LEAD AIRCRAFT TECHNICIAN with IA

Job Description

Primary responsibilities include project completion management and leading a team of technicians during 100-hour annual inspections, engine installations, trouble shooting, and the correction of discrepancies on a variety of piston aircraft and systems. The Project Team Leader will be required to work on aircraft with the team not just oversee / manage the projects. Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills, a strong mechanical background, and the necessary skill set to enhance the team's performance. This position reports to the Director of Maintenance / Quality Control Inspector.

The Project Team Leader position comes with an opportunity to be considered for the Director of Maintenance / Quality Control Inspector position that is expected to become available in the first quarter of 2024. Candidates interested in the Director of Maintenance / Quality Control Inspector position must be willing to teach / share knowledge with the team or they will not be considered for this crucial role with the company. It is critical that our Aircraft Technician Veterans be open to training our younger generation to ensure those young men and women have the necessary skill set required so General Aviation has the opportunity to thrive for years to come.

Candidate Minimum Requirements

• (10) Years Minimum of Piston Airframe and Engine Installation Experience.
• A&P License with Inspector Authorization.
• Pilot's license - (Preferred skill set, but not mandatory to be considered for position.)
• Familiarization with Piper and Cessna aircraft.
• Familiarization with Lycoming and TCM Engines.
• The ability to trouble shoot and repair airframe and engine discrepancies.
• Capable of reading and interpreting maintenance manuals along with installation instructions.
• Able to perform high quality repairs or modifications in a timely and professional manner.
• Possess strong mechanical and electrical background.
• Ethical, reliable, ambitious, solid communication skills, and a team player.
• Be willing to take on additional responsibilities as opportunities for advancement arise.
• Be willing to share knowledge with the team in order to enhance the departments performance.
