Cessna A118B
Produced between 1966 and 1983, the Cessna 188 is a family of light agricultural aircraft. The 188 has the capacity for one pilot and a 200 US gallon (760 l) or 280 US gallon (1060 l) hopper. The empty weight with no dispersal equipment installed is 2030 lb (921 kg) and with liquid dispersal system is 2160 lb (980 kg). Maximum takeoff weight is 3300 lb (1497 kg). Cruise speed is 114 mph (183 km/h), stall speed with full flaps is 57 mph (92 km/h), and maximum speed is 121 mph (195 km/h). The rate of climb is 690 ft/min (3.5 m/s).
Cessna decided to expand its wide line of light aircraft by entering the agricultural aircraft market. The C188 is a conventional single-seat, piston-powered, strut-braced, low winged agricultural plane. Various versions of the 188 include the AGwagon, AGpickup, AGtruck, and AGhusky.
The initial AGwagon was introduced in 1966. The 188 AGwagon 230, 188A AGwagon "A", and 188A AGwagon "B" were powered by a 230 hp Continental O-470-R engine and had a 200 US gallon (760 l) chemical hopper. Produced from 1971-1976, the 188B AGpickup was powered by a 230hp Continental O-470-R or O-470-S engine and had a 200 US gallon (760 l) chemical hopper. The A188 AGwagon 300, A188A AGwagon "A", and A188A AGwagon "B" were powered by a 300 hp Continental IO-520-D engine and had a 200 US gallon (760 l) chemical hopper. The A188B AGwagon "C" and AGtruck were powered by a 300 hp Continental IO-520-D and had a 280 US gallon (1060 l) chemical hopper. The T188C AGhusky is powered by a 310 hp turbocharged Continental TSIO-520-T engine and had a 280 US gallon (1060 l) chemical hopper.
