With the capacity for one crew member, the Chance Vought F4U Corsair was a carrier-capable fighter aircraft that saw service in World War II and the Korean War. The aircraft was produced from 1940 to 1952 with 12,571 aircraft built.

The F4U is powered by a {Pratt & Whitney} R-2800-18W radial engine. There was such a high demand for the aircraft that Goodyear and Brewster began production.
