Detailed Description

REDUCED TO SELL

First flown in April 1996, the Culp Special was designed by Steven Culp of Culp Specialities, Shreveport, Louisiana (USA) as a development from the basic design of the Steen Skybolt, to increase its aerobatic performance. Reminiscent of the famous pre-WWII Laird designs, the Culp Special was aimed specifically at unlimited aerobatics.

VH-ZUZ is a rare find; the first in Australia, built by Peter Cash. The aircraft is fitted with the Aeromotors Sa M-14P 9-cylinder radial engine and the airframe has been lovingly built and maintained throughout its life. Offering low total, engine and propeller times, this aircraft would suit the enthusiast looking for a unique bi-plane that oozes 1930's style and grace. MTOW just increased to 1100kg! (Aerobatic: 1000kg).
