Learjet 35 Series Aircraft Information
The Learjet 35 is a series of American multi-role business Jet aircraft and military transport aircraft. The aircraft is designated C-21A when used by the United States Air Force. The Learjet 35 has the capacity for two crew members and eight passengers. Empty weight is 10,119 lb (4590 kg) and maximum takeoff weight is 18,300 lb (8235 kg). Stall speed is 100 knots and maximum speed is 461 knots at 41,000 ft. The rate of climb is 8000 ft/min.
The Learjet 35 is equipped with two Garrett TFE731-2 turbofan engines. These engines are mounted in nacelles on the sides of the aft fuselage. The aircraft's wings are equipped with single-slotted flaps. Variants include the Learjet 35 and Learjet 35A. The Model 35 was 13 inches longer than the previous Learjet 25. 64 base-model 35s were built.
An upgraded Model 35, the Model 35A, was introduced in 1976. The 35A featured TFE731-2-2B engines and a range of 2789 miles, with a fuel capacity of 931 US gallons with refueling accomplished at ground level through each wingtip tank. Production of the 35A ended in 1993 with over 600 built. Several military variants of the Learjet 35 were also produced.
