STINSON For Sale

Stinson Aircraft

Founded in 1920, Stinson Aircraft Company was based in Dayton, Ohio. The founder, Eddie Stinson, was a stunt pilot. In 1929, Cord Corporation acquired 60 percent of the company stock providing financial security for selling aircraft competitively and still be able to continue developing new models. After the death of the founder, pieces of the company were sold off with the largest being purchased by Piper. Piper continued to manufacture one of the Stinson designs for a limited time and modified the Twin Stinson into the Piper Apache.
