Detailed Description

1961 Model 182D (N8879X)

Overview: This meticulously maintained 1961 Model 182D airplane is a testament to timeless aviation engineering. Powered by a formidable 230 horsepower engine with a useful load of half a ton, it promises reliability and comfort for any discerning pilot. I have personally flown this aircraft for over 25 hours of cross-country flight time in the last 2 months and I am still currently adding hours to the plane weekly. It has been a joy to fly, and parting with it is a difficult decision. However, due to monetary reasons my mission has changed and I must let it go. For the right buyer, my loss will be a valuable find. I am willing to deliver the plane anywhere in the US and could even give the new buyer their high-performance endorsement and training if needed. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions. Sam 318-208-2895

Additional Information: This aircraft had a minor incident in 1968 where the carburetor got clogged and the pilot had to make an off-field landing. The logbooks start in 1971 when the aircraft had a new engine installed at tach time 1,603. Since the incident, the aircraft has flown over 2,500 flight hours with zero issue and has always been meticulously cared for. The previous owner maintained and owned this aircraft with his uncle for the past 40 years and has an intimate knowledge of everything about the aircraft. The logs are clean and in pdf form for anyone to view as well as the NTSB incident report and the 337's. This will be a great plane for any pilot young or old.
