Alaska Aircraft Sales is looking to add 2 experienced A&P or A&P/IA to our team. We are a Part 145 Repair Station located on the largest seaplane base in the world. We specialize in full service, repair, or modification of deHavilland beavers and Piper Navajos so either experience is highly desirable. We also provide full service, repair, or modification of other GA aircraft (Cessna, Piper, Cubcrafters, Gippsland, etc.) and limited preventative maintenance/repair to turbine, radial, and piston engines. Our customer base includes privately owned aircraft, federal and state contracts, and Part 135 operators so after hours "on call" obligations occasionally arise but are limited. This is a permanent position with an excellent benefit package including paid training, relocation bonus, paid holidays and vacation, medical insurance, and a 401K w/company matching contribution. Minimum Qualifications A current A&P license. Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and AC 43.13 to perform required maintenance, repair or modification tasks. Knowledge of FAA regulations and limitations relating to aircraft maintenance. Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to sit, bend and squat for extended periods of time and lift up to 0 pounds. Comply with FAA mandated drug testing program. Duties & Responsibilities Perform airframe, powerplant and propeller inspections, service actions, repair or modification in a safe and expeditious manner IAW manufacturer's specifications or FAA regulatory guidance. Perform initial, in-work, and final return to service inspections of aircraft. Inspect aircraft components, systems, & assemblies for current and future airworthy status. Perform tasks in a safe manner with limited supervision. Supervise A&P assigned mechanics and mechanic apprentices. Communicate to DOM status of inspections, on-going maintenance actions, and limitations to production. Other duties as required.
