Detailed Description

1964 Time machine Baron 3,600 TTSN The" C model" is arguably the best flying of all the baron models. The light airframe and bullet-proof IO-470 engines and 2 blade props make it delightfully light on the controls and has a very low empty weight compared to the B-58 and the later model 6/4 seat seat Baby Barons. This Baron has NO DAMAGE HISTORY, with the exception of a low energy prop strike detailed below in the narrative description that occurred 40 years ago. For a plane of this vintage that is an almost impossible feat.

This 1964 aircraft has full, complete logs. There are a lot of pages of detailed, thoughtful and professional entries that support the fact that this is one well maintained Baron. No one page annuals on this baby. The most recent annual by Blue Max was in excess of $8,000.00

Interior was completely restored with full leather and wool, no vinyl or polyester and for sure not a "blow and go" interior or paint job.

The engines were majored by Lycon in 1990, 1450 SMOH, The props were replaced approximately a year or so later after a prop strike in Idaho by the previous owner. The engine was torn down and the bottom end bearings etc. were replaced 1,335 hours ago.

This plane has had two complete top end overhauls with all new parts except that the cylinders were re-barreled by ECI with Nickel Chrome plating for zero chance of rust. The left engine was done 500 hours ago and the right engine at 360 STOH. The compressions are all in the 70’s. The cam was inspected at that time and was in like new condition. The lifters were inspected and looked very good. The propellers have been overhauled a few times (reference logs) the last time 520 hours ago. We have seen engines like this go another go 1,000 hours with very little maintenance. It has VG's and is plumed for boots. All the hardware mius the actual boots are still installed.

Interior / Exterior

Interior:
Paint job is by Cardin Aircraft Painting in 2005 with PPG Polyurethane. Before he retired, he and T&P were the premier painters in California. This is an original 1964 paint scheme and the interior is a copy of the original as well.
