Accepts 6 AA batteries.The protective cover keeps battery terminals from accidental contact with conducting surfaces while stored. Having a Spare Battery Cartridge, loaded and ready, will minimize time without electronic noise cancellation when batteries drain. Note: Because of our fail-safe design, David Clark ENC Headsets will continue to operate and offer excellent passive attenuation and communications clarity even if batteries are allowed to completely drain.
