Detailed Description

As stated above, N6994M is not your typical rough and tumble, work horse 206! It’s been the personal travel and fun flying airplane of a rather famous individual for the past 45 years! I’ll tell you a bit about the owner of 94M, and I suspect many of you reading this tale will know or know of him. His name is John Parish Sr., and he’s a well, known and beloved individual in the lexicon of American aviation history. Many of you will recognize him as one of the plank founders of the Beechcraft Heritage Museum. Others as a world class businessman, entrepreneur and ambassador for the state of Tennessee. And still others as a first class outdoorsman, flying adventurer of Northern Minnesota/Canada and founder of the Turtle River Adventure Base! Aviation wise, he’s done it all, from Cessna float planes, to Beech Staggerwing’s, to Duke’s, Piper Cub’s, Travel Air’s, Stearman’s, Cessna 185’s, King Air’s, and a bunch more airplanes too numerous to list! And I’ve heard said, he can work a jet boat in the rapids of a Minnesota stream like no one else!

And for the potential buyer of N6994M, you’ll be glad to know that Mr. Parish is the type man of whom excels in the upkeep of his equipment, and especially his airplanes. If you’ve ever been to his personal climate controlled hangar or the Beechcraft Heritage Museum he birthed, the words from visitors mouths are always the same………”The place is absolutely spotless, you can eat off the floors, and I’ve never seen more perfectly maintained airplanes!” Those words pretty much sum it up.

N6994M is no exception! It’s quite remarkable in that it has original factory paint and interior. That’s correct. Original paint and interior. Before anyone chokes, cries “oh-no”, or faints, let me expand. In my 40+ years as an A&P/IA/Pilot I’ve come across less than five aircraft that I would consider to be absolutely remarkable, factory original examples. And N6994M is one of them. First off, original paint and interiors don’t lie. What you see before your eyes is the true story. You can put lipstick on a pig, and you’ve still got a swine. It’s one of the oldest tricks of unscrupulous sellers in the big book of aviation. Not N6994M! You’ve got to see it for yourself to truly appreciate “factory original”. Considering its 46 years on planet earth, the paint is nothing short of remarkable! Interior too! And Cessna got the scheme right on the money first time! No swirly, twirly, lines here! As to the interior, the quality of the embossed side panels, white rolled and pleated seats, headliner, trim plastic, instrument panel overlays, etcetera, will positively blow your mind!

In case you’re wondering, this tremendous airplane didn’t just happen, or is some freak of nature. Mr. Parrish has painstakingly seen to it over the years, that it’s had world class maintenance and cosmetic care. He won’t even consider “factory re-man” engines when TBO time rolls around for his aircraft. He’s all in for factory new engines and N6994M has been no exception! Open the engine compartment! You’ll find it completely spotless! Open up the wings, aft fuselage, and under the floors. Superb condition! Landing gear? Same story! Peaked your interest?

We’re looking for a discriminating individual of whom will appreciate and continue the legacy of this remarkable aircraft. In fact I’ve got so much confidence in this machine, I’ll extend my often seen offer for one of a kind airplanes. Come see N6994M for yourself. And if it’s not what I’ve represented, I’ll refund your airline tickets both ways. No questions asked. Fair enough? Call Kirby Totty at 615-972-7423 or email k.totty@comcast.net
