Detailed Description

A much modified Globe GC-1B. Ready to be reassembled as a SUPER SWIFT !
During 1994 it was decided to replace the constantly cracking aluminium cowlings with a set of new streamline carbon fibre cowlings.
Rather than much modify these new components it was decided that we would replace the carburettor as fitted to the Lycoming 0-360 for a new Ellison Throttle body injector and also to replace the exhaust with a new stainless twin pipe system,
A streamline sliding canopy and windscreen were also fitted, disc braking and smaller wheels and reduced bay apertures also were introduced at this time.
The aircraft had recently also been converted to stick controls.
During the preparation and approval for flight stage of this work a crack was found in a wing spar cap!
After various schemes were assessed to repair this serious defect it was decided to dismantle the aeroplane and replace the spar cap in its entirety.
The aeroplane is now for sale having had all of the structural work carried out, but requires full reassembling and finishing to the new owners requirements.

Avionics / Equipment

All of the avionics are outdated and will probably require replacement.
All of the flight & engine instrumentation are as fitted.

Airframe

A new spar cap was located at the swift association, for clarity with UK authorities it was then subject to Metal type & hardness testing.
There is a large quantity of picture's, worksheets, diagrams, manufactures instructions, manuals, log books, diagrams & STD,s
