What a unique opportunity for a great project airplane! This is a 1964 Maule M-4C Jetasen project with a newly rebuilt Continental O-300 (D-crank upgrade), 3-door, plus storage door, that comes with a Garmin 530W (M/L:6), Garmin GMA 340, all standard instruments, big tires and more. The Maule M-4C "Jetasen" is a special model as it was 1 of only 11 made that was fitted with a cargo door. The Maule M-4 has all the log book with no prior damage history and the airframe is 2155 TT. A friend owned the Maule M-4 for years and truly did love the plane, unfortunately, there was a mishap. After a routine oil change, as he straightened the prop to move the plane, the key was accidently left in Mag1 position. The engine started and the plane had a prop strike into a pine tree. Luckly this was a low-speed impact, but still there was damage mainly to the cowling, engine mount, and the right wing. I took this on as a project about 6 years ago, and rebuilt the engine (All yellow tagged), upgrading to the later model D-crank. This gave the Maule M-4 the standard 6 bolt flange on the crank, compared to the earlier limited 8 bolt. Now numerous props can be used. As for the rebuild of the Continental O-300, I went with all new Millenium cylinders and pistons (Not rebuilt), balanced pistons and rods, upgraded D-crank, all new rubber parts and numerous other items, including painting using the traditional Continental gold and black. I did keep all the data tags off the parts bags/boxes used in the rebuild for reference. I have already created a list, by part # of parts needed, see picture. Maule does seem to carry most of the parts in stock. The main items that need to be repaired are the engine mount would need to be rebuilt, some of the sheet metal on the cowling would need to be made and the right wing will need to a front spar and a partially reskin. I do have all the original parts, for reference and possible repair or reuse. The Maule M-4 airframe is in overall good condition, there is paint chipping and normal wear as would be expected, but great start of a project since the engine as already been rebuilt and the Garmin GNS 530, Garmin GMA 340 is ready to be installed. You can feel confident that if you're looking a great project airplane, this is the one you want. Feel free to contact me with any questions, or if you would like to come and see the item, I will respond usually with-in 4 hours (max). I have posted some specs below for more information, Thanks!
