Piston Helicopter Robinson R44 Astro Helicopter Information
The Piston Helicopter Robinson R44 Astro was awarded an FAA Type Certificate in 1992. Robinson introduced the R44 Raven I in 2000. The Raven features hydraulically assisted controls and adjustable pedals. The R44 Raven II, introduced in 2002, features a more powerful fuel injected engine and wider blades. These features also a higher gross weight and improved altitude performance.
