    Cessna 120 Aircraft Information

First produced in 1946, the Cessna 120 is a two-seat, single engine, conventional landing gear, light general aviation aircraft. The 120 has the capacity for one crew member and one passenger. The empty weight is 890 lb (404 kg) and gross weight is 1450 lb (658 kg). The aircraft have a fuel capacity of 25 US gallons. The cruise speed is 91 knots (105 mph, 169 km/h), the stall speed is 39 knots (45 mph, 72 km/h), and the maximum speed is 109 knots (125 mph, 201 km/h). The Cessna 120 and 140 were produced from 1946 to 1950 with 7664 aircraft built.

An economy version of the 140 produced at the same time was the Cessna 120. The 120 had the same engine as the 140, but did not have wing flaps. Common modifications to the 120 and 140 include "metalized" wings, installation of landing gear extenders, installation of rear-cabin "D" windows on the 120, and installation of an electrical system on the 120.
