In 1999, after nearly twenty years of repairing and restoring Piper Super Cubs, CubCrafters introduced its first “new” airplane, the Piper/CubCrafters PA18, built under the FAA’s Spares & Surplus Rule. As Jim Richmond so eloquently put it, this is the Super Cub the way it was meant to be. This is a true “bucket list” machine with plenty of fuel, extended baggage and a 2000 lb. gross weight kit to haul all of your camping gear.

The leather seats are very comfortable, and the panel is well laid-out and functional. A Garmin GNC 250XL GPS.Com and a GTX 335 Transponder (ADS-B) give you all the navigation and communication functions for those back country trips.
