SUPER PETREL USA TRI-FECTA EVENT 25-28 OCTOBER 2023 On 25 October 2023, Super Petrel USA along with Wings of Gold Aviation, will once again host our annual pilot safety and maintenance training event. There will be an "Ice-Breaker" beginning at (6:00 PM) on the 25th for a meet and greet session. Beer and Nuts! Class will begin on Thursday, October 26th, at (8:30 AM) and continue until (4:00 PM). The morning session will focus on Airmanship and Flight Safety presented by Bill Gortney. Super Petrel refresher systems training will be offered if enough interest is requested. The afternoon maintenance session will be presented by Mark Ziegler (Ziggy) with the focus on the 100 hour Compliance Inspection to include Propeller Balancing, Engine Oil and Filter change, Engine and Wing Torquing, Landing Gear inspection and testing, Wheel Bearings replacement, and many more. Class will begin on Friday, October 27th, at (8:30 AM) and continue until (4:30 PM). We will continue the Compliance Inspection check list and cover special interest items. The Rotax Line Maintenance Manual checklist will be discussed as it is part of the inspection process. Demo flights can be scheduled with Bill Gortney and Dan Pedersen during the training event for $200, weather permitting. Class will begin on Saturday, October 28th, at (8:30 AM) and continue until completion around (2:00 PM). XP demo flights will be available weather permitting. The training will focus primarily on the 100 hour (annual) Line Maintenance compliance inspection for the Super Petrel LS aircraft. The Maintenance Manual is located on the Scoda Aeronautica website.
