Pratt & Whitney R-985
Known as the Wasp Junior, the Pratt & Whitney R-985 models are air-cooled, nine-cylinder, radial engines. The Wasp Junior engines were used mostly in utility aircraft, civil and military, for transport such as the Beechcraft Model 18, the Vultee BT-13 Valiant, the de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver, and the Sikorsky H-5 helicopter.
The R-985 is a military model that was the first model in the series. The engine has 300 hp at 2,000 rpm of power.
