Socata TB Series Aircraft Information
The Socata TB series is comprised of single engine light weight aircraft. The Tobago, Trinidad and Tampico models all have a three to four passenger capacity with one crew member.
The Socata Tobago, the Socata Trinidad and the Socata Tampico models are widely used as touring aircraft, instrument training, and instruction. Variations made in the series range from retractable landing gear on the TB20 and TB21 to the wing tips on the older models being rounder than the newer models. The five main variants are the Socata TB-9 Tampico GT, Socata TB-10 Tobago GT, Socata TB-200 Tobago GT, Socata TB-20 Trinidad, Socata TB-21 GT Trinidad, Socata TB-21 TC Trinidad, and the Socata TB-21 Trinidad TC GT with the minor variants being the TB11, TB15 (proposed version), and the TB16(proposed version).
Development of the TB series started in the mid 1970s to replace the Socata Rallye series.
