Originally produced by Hughes Helicopters as a development of the Hughes 269, the Schweizer 300 is a family of light utility helicopters. The aircraft are now manufactured by Schweizer Aircraft, a subsidiary of Sikorsky Aircraft. The 300 is a single engine, three-bladed main rotor, piston powered aircraft mainly used as a cost-effective platform for training and agriculture.

The 300C has the capacity for one crew member and two passengers. The empty weight is 1100 lb (499 kg) and the maximum takeoff weight is 2050 lb (930 kg). The cruise speed is 86 knots (99 mph, 159 km/h) and the maximum speed is 95 knots (109 mph, 176 km/h). The rate of climb is 750 ft/min (3.82 m/s).
